byVINNIK creates clothing of the highest quality, made in small production runs. Our goal is ZERO waste and a net positive environmental impact by utilizing our remnants and working in existing, deadstock, and vintage textiles. Ethical production from start to finish - our garment workers are paid a living wage working in a clean and safe facility in Los Angeles, a rarity in fashion. Each design is hand cut and expertly crafted using only the highest quality textiles. Every person who works to create our garments should be positively impacted by their existence. As a result, every piece is unique and truly one of a kind. At byVINNIK, we are committed to the "Slow Fashion Movement" and strive to lead by example in the fashion industry.
The vast majority of our clientele at byVINNIK are repeating customers who see the value in our unique approach to leveraging social media to create a personalized relationship and community-driven atmosphere. We work diligently to create designs that fit many body types, heights, ages, accessibility and occasions.
At byVINNIK, we are about more than just making beautiful clothing. We work to inspire and empower our divas to be bold, take up space, and love themselves "AS IS" in our glamorous corner of the internet and beyond.
Fashion Designer Suzanne Vinnik has captivated audiences across the globe and is one of the most influential women in classical music as an opera singer, community engagement leader, photographer, and now successful Creative Director & Fashion Designer behind the brand byVINNIK.
As an opera singer, some of her favorite roles as a leading soprano included the title role in Manon Lescaut, Nedda in Pagliacci, Mimi and Musetta in La bohème, Violetta in La traviata, amongst others, with notable engagements at Pittsburgh Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and on concert stages as a soloist throughout Italy, Norway (Her Majesty Queen Sonja in the audience), Russia and before members of United States Congress sharing the stage with President Joe Biden. Her parallel pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavors led her first to start Shoperatic, the largest specialized social media network and marketplace for all women in classical music. In addition, she is a photographer, guest columnist, and stylist and hosted "Diva Who Hustles," an online web series for The Dallas Opera Network during the early days of the pandemic in 2020.
Suzanne's love of fashion and desire to create her dream job on her terms inspired the launch of "byVINNIK," an ethically manufactured inclusive womenswear line made in Downtown Los Angeles with clientele all over the world including some of the biggest names in Classical Music, Broadway, and Television. As one of the few brands that cater to both straight and plus sizes, her work is sought out and featured on Disney+, Netflix, RuPaul's Drag Race, and most recently on HBOMax's hit TV Show "The White Lotus" worn by Jennifer Coolidge in an episode nominated for an Emmy in the “Outstanding Contemporary Costumes” category. In addition, many of her designs frequently are worn at significant red-carpet events, magazines, and performances worldwide by some of the most talented artists of our time.
Suzanne holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University, with additional studies at Mannes College of Music and Otis College of Design. In addition, she is an alumnus of the Opera Studio of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy, where she studied and performed under the tutelage of Renata Scotto and The Dallas Opera's Hart Institute for Women Conductors where she was an Administration Fellow in 2019.
She enjoys sharing her knowledge on entrepreneurship, fashion, female empowerment, and classical music as a guest panelist a d keynote speaker at conferences and universities especially working with women to share the entrepreneurship journey. The best part of transitioning from singing opera to fashion is seeing how divas have blossomed in their confidence, wearing her designs of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds.
